| SAN FRANCISCO — Silvaco has teamed with custom IC provider Mosis to create a process design kit (PDK) supporting Mosis scalable CMOS design rules within Silvaco's design environment, the companies said Thursday (Aug. 11).
Silvaco (Santa Clara, Calif.) and Mosis (Marina del Rey, Calif.) said the multi-foundry, multi-process PDK would enable educational institutions and fabless companies to be immediately productive in using Silvaco IC design capture, simulation, layout and verification tools.
"Silvaco design tools and this PDK provide a solid platform for our customers to take advantage of our low-cost prototyping services to design ICs targeting any of our supported processes,'' said Cesar Pina, director of Mosis.
